Deep beneath a forgotten desert, carved into the living rock of a civilization the world chose to forget, lies the Temple of the Bound Serpent — and something inside it has been waiting a very long time to be let out.

Elara Voss came for the relics. She'll leave having unearthed something far older, far hungrier, and far more patient than any treasure. The old gods were not destroyed. They were bound. And every seal she breaks brings them one breath closer to waking.
